We had our first open house this weekend. We thought it best to get out of the way and head to visit my brother Jeff who moved to Long Beach, California, after taking a trip around the country this spring. Our realtor, Moon, said it was a great turnout, and believed we may be getting a couple offers. That made our weekend exciting. We can't wait to move and get started on the Springfield phase of our lives.
You can never count on a deal before it's over so, if you're looking for a great home in Phoenix, Arizona, click here. We've loved it because it was remodeled by two architects who previously lived in it. Although a 1953 ranch, it has an urban loft feel. The neighborhood is terrific, located right in-between Arcadia and Biltmore. There are great restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance. It's located in central Phoenix so its a 15 minute drive to anywhere (Tempe Town Lake, Old Scottsdale, Downtown Phoenix, freeways, etc.). For those who hate winter, it would do a snowbird proud.
One last note, an old collegue made a slightly different trip recently. I worked with Lyle Dean at WGN Radio and he took his boat on the rivers of the US to the Gulf of Mexico and Florida. Click here for his recap. Now if I can talk Sarah into a boat...- Randy
